Welcome to Clare's Backstreet Boys Web Page with special thanks to, my pen pal, Justine in Ontario, Canada for some of the information she has provided me with.

On this web page, you will find the biographies of Howie, AJ, Nick, Brian and Kevin, all about their music and some lyrics, how the group got together and many pictures of the five.

Backstreet Boys

Below is Justine's account of The Backstreet Boys' concert when she went to see them in Hamilton Ontario.

On March 14 2000, I went to see the most amazing guys on the face of the Earth. The Backstreet Boys. In Hamilton, Ontario, the guys put on an INCREDIBLE show. I'll start from the beginning. My mom, my two friends, my sister and her friend, and I were waiting anxiously to find out where our seats were in the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton. The tour company that we went with didn't tell us where we were going to be sitting for the concert, but they assumed it was going to be in 2nd level somewhere. We would be happy no matter where we sat. Think about it, we would be breathing the same air as the guys! When we got our tickets we found out that they were in the VIP section, 11 rows from the front! We were so excited that we started screaming when we saw them on a video on the way up to Hamilton!

When we arrived at the arena, there were thousands of screaming girls just waiting to get inside. Before we joined the crowds, me and my friends marched down the street holding up our neon yellow and pink signs chanting: "WE LOVE BSB". People could see us from miles away because our signs were so bright! After standing outside for about 1 1/2 hours, the doors finally opened and everybody rushed in. When we got to our seats, we couldn't believe how close we were. We were about 20 feet from the stage! The boys made us wait for about 2 hours before they finally came on! But I guess it's worth the wait! The lights slowly dimmed; there was smoke rising from a big black box beside the stage. Lights started flashing. The crowd was going nuts. Slowly the Boys rose up from the box, attached to invisible wires, sailing on millennium boogie boards. The sailed over to the stage and their dancers unhooked them from their boards. The show started with a bang. "Larger Than Life" was blaring out over the crowd. Everywhere I looked there were girls crying and screaming, devoting their undying love to their favourite Backstreet Boy.

They sung songs from all three of their albums and even playedJustine, sister and friends before the BSB concert in Hamilton their own instruments in one of the songs. Kevin on the Grand Piano and Nick on the drums. With their impressive dance moves and beautiful harmonies, even the parents were guaranteed a wonderful time. About halfway through the show, everything kind of slowed down a bit. Each Boy brought up a mother and a daughter and serenaded them to a song called the Perfect Fan. Brian Littrell wrote this beautiful ballad about his mother. We even saw Amanda, the lady who won the contest at MuchMusic, be comforted by Kevin. I think there were quite a few teary eyes in the audience at the time!

With an explosion of confetti, the Boys ended with a double encore of "It's Gotta Be You" and "I Want It That Way". After, they quickly left the building before any screaming girls could get their hands on them. The audience was left cheering for more. Me and my friends sat there almost in a state of disbelief. I had just seen Nick Carter. Up Close and Personal! That would be 2 1/2 hours of heaven that I will never forget for the rest of my life. My dream had come true...almost! (I still have to marry him remember! Hey, what's wrong with dreaming, you just never know!)
