| Match Summary - France |
France marched imperiously into the quarter-finals of Euro 2000 and sent the Czech Republic packing with a 2-1 win in Bruges.
Youri Djorkaeff came off the bench to strike the winning goal for the world champions, who didn't function as fluently as they did in their opening game but were still too potent for their opponents.
Once again, it was the electric pace of Thierry Henry which proved France's most dangerous weapon.

| Match Summary - Holland |
The hosts had the vast majority of the attacks in front of a sea of orange in Amsterdam, but the Czechs defended doggedly to keep the game goalless at the break
Nedved was looking by far the Czechs' best player. First he set up giant striker Koller, who was foiled by the diving van der Saar. Within seconds Nedved had tried his own luck only for the keeper to save again.
The Dutch, favourites before the kick-off to win the championships, were hugely fortunate with the Czechs twice striking the woodwork before Frank de Boer's successful spot-kick.
