AmsterdamThe Stadium
The Amsterdam Arena was built in 1993 and was opened in summer 1996. It is not only host to AFC Ajax football team but also to the Amsterdam Admirals. Many people believe it is the most modern stadium in the world. It has a sliding roof which can be opened within 20 minutes, it has two video scoreboards, restaurants and conference rooms. Despite all the new technology and £83m used in the new stadium, many Ajax fans believe that there is a lack of atmostphere in the ground.

The Place
Amsterdam is the capital of "having a good time". Arts and culture, boat tours and relaxation of drug laws make Amsterdam a very popular place. Other people are also attracted by the Van Gogh Museum and the Ajax Club Museum. There are many clubs open in Amsterdam, El Paradiso and Melkweg are some of the most popular.

How To Get There
From the North
Take the E22 motorway, which lead right into the centre of Amsteram.
From the South
From the south-east (heading form Utrecht) take the E35, but take the E19 from the south west (coming from the direction of Rotterdam and The Hague)
From the East
From the direction of Enschede take the E30, which will lead you directly on to the ring road surrounding Amsterdam, the A10.
From the West
From the coast and Zandvoort you need to take the N200, which will lead on to the Amsterdam ring road.
