The Return of the Dynamos
Well, the new season in Europe has began! We have seen a lot of upsets in both, the Champions League and Uefa cup. Some new guys have arrived to put their name on the map of Europe. I especially like Dynamo Zagreb and Dynamo Kiev.

Dynamo Zagreb thrashed ZTE, the Hungarian Champion, 6-0 in leg one. But it's not the result that was that much of a suprise, it was the game itself. They had a half a doxen chances more but their play was outstanding.

With the charismatic coach in the likes of the ex-croatian national team coach Miroslav Blazevic, a couple of returners to the club; Silvio Maric (ex Newcastle and Porto) and Bosko Balaban (on loan from Aston Villa); plus a couple of young future prospects; Ivica Olic (ex Herta Berlin) and Niko Kranjcar; this team can go far! If the draw would like them maybe to the quarter finals....

Dynamo Kiev are back in the Champions League. Again. Well, wihout the briliant coach Valerij Lobanovski (died a couple of months ago). There are also no Shevchenko or Rebrov or Luzni or.....

But if you take a look at their roster for this season, you will notice that most of the players are born in 1978 or later!! They brought in two Croatian players, of which one is the most expensive in club history, Jerko Leko, from Dynamo Zagreb!

I like their performance against (a very weak) Newcastle! 2-0, but they also had two goals disallowed! They lost to Juventus 5-0 in the second round, but they had a great game, and Juventus have only Buffon to thank for not taking in a goal! They just might advance from group.....
