Dominoes Pairs Knockout Draw Made

| The draw has been made for the Marwill Darwen
Darts and Dominoes Knockout. As there are only 24 teams who have entered there will only be two venues used this year with twelve teams at each. The two
venues chosen are Ellenshaw and Borough.

| There are now selected match reports to be viewed
on the site. These can be found by clicking on results and then clicking on the actual result (5-4, 8-1 etc) and then clicking on match report.
If I am
to do this for your game it is important that you give me as much information on that particular game as possible when the score is rung in. Information such
as maximums, ton plus checkouts, who beat who and averages are all things that I'd like to include.

Latest qualifiers for the 180 knockout

| There are now 7 people who have hit a
magical maximum and have secured their place in the end of season 180 knockout.
These are,
Brian Scott (Ranken)
Brian Shorrock
(Marigold's)
Steve Bunyan (Uncle Jack's)
Jason Whalley (Uncle Jack's)
Dave Conroy (Prince of Wales A)
Wayne Mitchell (Prince of Wales
A)
Mark Pomfret (Uncle Jack's)
It's a great compliment to the standard of this league that there have already been 7 180's and we're only in
the 3rd week of the season. But we already know how good our players are, it's only confirming that.
Gavin Eldred (Marigold's) has the top
checkout of 118 which he hit against the Bowling Green on 13th October and Wayne Mitchell is the early pacesetter in the top 3 dart averages with 83.49
scored against the Anchor.
Another excellent average of 71.57 was scored by Steve Bunyan in his game against Diamond Dave Hemborough.
Well played all concerned.
Please note that if you wish to enter the Dominoes pairs knockout to be played on 27th October your registration form
along with £2 per pairing MUST be at the Punch by Sunday 15th October. Any registrations arriving after this will NOT be accepted into the
competition.

| The registration forms for the Dominoes
Pairs Knockout will be at your pub this Thursday (6th October).
Any interested parties must fill their names on this form and return it to the Punch
along with the results cards for the games from the 13th October. Any registration forms received after Sunday 16th October will not be accepted into the
tournament.
The entry fee is £2 per team and the venues will be chosen when the number of entries is known. This tournament will take place on
27th October and the winners of each venue will earn their place in the semi finals to be held on finals night next year.

FIRST WEEK'S RESULTS

| The results from the first week of the season are
now in the respective results sections on the site.
There have already been three maximums in the darts with Steve Bunyan (Uncle Jack's) hitting
one as part of a twelve dart leg on the way to beating Steve Tibbets 2-1. Strange game for Bunny where he went from the ridiculous to the sublime,
squandering many attempts at his double to win 2-0 and eventually ending up on double 1 and losing and then responding with the 12 darter!!
The
other 2 maximums were bagged by Brian Shorrock (Marigold's) against Prince of Wales A and by Brian Scott (Ranken) against George Hotel.
In
the battle of last years top two in the dominoes Uncle Jack's came out on top 5-4 (16-11 in legs) amid jubilant scenes. Could the holders have some serious
competition this year....who knows.
